Olympic Shuttle Bus Schedule

Sprint
: 400 meter down river point to point swim.

Olympic: 1.5k down river point to point swim.

With the Olympic swim beginning at the Manker Patten Tennis Center. Athletes will be taken to the swim start via shuttles from the main staging area.

Sprint racers will walk to the swim start at the boat dock under the Market Street Bridge.

Both race distances will finish just before the City Pier.

Bag Drop Info: A bag drop will be available at both swim starts for you to leave your personal belongings.

These items must be in the bag provided to you at packet pick up, clearly marked with your name and race bib number. These items will be available for pick up in the Transition Area at the conclusion of your race.

The swim will be conducted in a time-trial fashion. Race numbers are assigned by estimated swim time. A racer will enter the water approximately every 3 seconds.

Pre-register by the Wednesday night before the race to get a spot in the swim order. UPPER numbers are assigned to late registrants, starting them at the rear.

Wetsuit Rules
USAT Article 4:4
Each age group participant shall be permitted to wear a wet suit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards.

The race transition area is organized based on your assigned race number.  Each bike rack ROW is also marked with a sign to help you find your row as you complete your swim-to-bike and bike-to-run transitions.

After a small steady climb from the transition area, this is a fast, flat course.

The sprint bike course is 20k out and back on Riverside Drive and Amnicola Hwy.

The Olympic course is two loops of the sprint course.

Bikes will be using the inside lanes of this four-lane road, with cones providing separation from traffic.

The course will be controlled by local police.

The course will be primarily on the Riverwalk with a short section on (closed to traffic) Riverfront Parkway.

The Olympic course completes two loops of the sprint course.

With the course being a two-loop course for the Olympic racers, it is very important for runners to STAY LEFT throughout the course to keep a smooth flow and avoid head to head running and crossovers.

Bikes may be removed from the transition area after the last biker has returned, or at the discretion of the transition area staff.

*Upon finishing the bike, please ensure you can finish the run by 12:30pm.
